Orient head coach Ian Hendon insists it is up to teenage goalkeeper Charlie Grainger to take his chance at Hartlepool United on Sunday.
The O’s will be without goalkeeper Alex Cisak because he is on international duty with Australia for their matches against Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh.
It means 19-year-old Grainger will make just his second league start after playing in their 4-0 defeat at Exeter in September.
But Hendon has faith in the teenager and believes it is a chance for him to make an impression.
The head coach said: “Alex is away with Australia next week so it’s up to Charlie now to step up and take his chance.
“It’s up to Charlie when he gets his opportunity next week [to make the most of it].”
