Leyton Orient loanee Calaum Jahraldo-Martin admitted the players have to take responsibility after their defeat to Exeter City which ultimately led to Ian Hendon's departure.

Jahraldo-Martin was brought off the bench in the second half but could not help prevent Orient losing 3-1.

The Hull City attacker spoke of the players needing to stand up for themselves in a match which resulted in head coach Hendon being dismissed.

He said: "I was pleased with my own performance but the main thing is the team's performance and I think the first half we weren't up to it and we were making schoolboy mistakes.

"We've got to look at ourselves from that point of view and we can't always be pointing fingers at the manager. I think we've got to stand up for ourselves and when it's our mistakes take them and not point fingers."

He added: "We're good footballers going forward. It's just sometimes defending we're making schoolboy decisions. This is senior football and we need to be stepping up to the mark and defending as a team."

Andy Hessenthaler will take charge of the side at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday and Jahraldo-Martin believes it is a good opportunity to bounce back.

The 22-year-old said: "Of course the key is to bounce back. We're going to show the fans and everybody what we can do and I'm sure we'll be more than capable of doing that."
