New Orient player-manager Kevin Nolan takes charge of his first home game this evening against Newport County.

The former West Ham captain's managerial career got off to a promising start after a 2-0 victory at Wycombe on Saturday.

The win leaves the O's just one place and two points outside the League Two play-offs.

Speaking after Saturday's win, Nolan said: "It's going to be a massive game and my first home game in charge.

"The fact the last [home] game we got annihilated by Exeter we're going to be looking at the video so it's not going to be easy.

"Newport are not going to come and make it easy so we've got to make a gameplan to make sure we can start a nice run of victories or not losing."

Nolan is likely to be among the substitutes again while new striker Armand Gnanduillet could be pushing for a first start.

Newport County are also under new management after Warren Feeney replaced John Sheridan recently. His side are four points above the relegation zone in 20th place.

In the last meeting Orient won 3-2 at Newport back in August.
