Leyton Orient player-boss Kevin Nolan expects a reaction from his team in tomorrow's home game against Hartlepool United.

The O's dropped out of the League Two play-off spots after their 1-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley on Friday after a disappointing performance.

Orient have responded strongly to defeats under Nolan, since his arrival in January, and the manager is confident the side will bounce back at Brisbane Road.

Speaking after the Accrington defeat, Nolan said: "I've just spoken to the lads and told them we've got a big game on Monday and it makes it even more of a bigger game because of what's happened here.

"It's been the story since I've come in really. We've won one or two, drawn one and lost one and then we've bounced back.

"I'm expecting a reaction on Monday. I'm expecting a reaction to a lot of things with a lot more energy and better play and going on to obviously make chances."

Orient will still be without midfielders Jobi McAnuff and Calaum Jahraldo-Martin with the pair away on international duty while captain Mathieu Baudry is still suspended.

Hartlepool moved a step closer to staying up after a 1-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon on Friday.

Craig Hignett's side are unbeaten in five league games and 11 points clear of the bottom two.

Orient suffered one of their most disappointing defeats of the season after losing 3-1 at Hartlepool in November.

Nolan's side are currently eighth in the table but only one point behind Wycombe as they chase a play-off place.
