Leyton Orient could only manage a 1-1 draw at strugglers York City on Saturday.
The O's fell behind when Bradley Fewster fired home from close range after 17 minutes.
Orient wasted a chance to level when they were awarded a penalty but Jobi McAnuff's strike hit the post.
York were reduced to ten men in the second half when Will Boyle was given a second booking for simulation.
Kevin Nolan's side took advantage shortly afterwards when Lloyd James fired home from the edge of the area.
The result leaves Orient seventh in League Two and one point behind Wycombe with six games left.
