Interim manager Andy Hessenthaler will take charge of Leyton Orient for tomorrow's home game against Dagenham & Redbridge.
It has been another turbulent week at Brisbane Road after Kevin Nolan was forced to step down as manager on Tuesday.
The club insist Nolan will remain focused on playing for the rest of the season but the Guardian Series understands this is only a short-term option until he agrees a pay-off with the O's.
Orient's poor recent form cost Nolan his job after picking up just one point from four matches.
But the O's are just two points off the League Two play-offs with five matches remaining.
It has been a disastrous season for Dagenham and the visitors, who are 11 points from safety, could be relegated tomorrow.
