Leyton Orient have announced their first summer signing as Robbie Weir joins the east London club on a two-year deal, with an option of a third, from Burton Albion.
The 27-year-old made more than 150 appearances for the newly-promoted Staffordshire club and scored seven goals.
The Northern Ireland international joined the Pirelli Stadium from Tranmere Rovers in 2012 and secured back-to-back promotions with Burton in 2015 and 2016.
He joins E10 after spending four years with the Brewers who released him at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Weir played for Sunderland’s youth team from 2005-2011 before he had a loan spell at York City in 2010-11.
The midfielder becomes the first summer signing for the O’s new boss Andy Hessenthaler who signed a one-year-deal last week.
