Gavin Massey has signed for Leyton Orient on a three-year-deal for an undisclosed fee from Colchester United.

The 23-year-old, who was born in Watford, played for his home town in 2010-12 before signing a permanent deal to move to Weston Homes Community stadium.

Massey made more than 150 appearances for the U’s and during his four-year spell scored 20 goals in the league.

He is no stranger to E10 having scored twice against Orient and will now join ex-teammate Sean Clohessy.

A statement on the Colchester United website said they would like to thank Massey for his valuable contribution on and off the pitch at the club and wish him all the best for the future.

The winger is the third signing of new O’s boss Andy Hessenthaler following Robbie Weir and Josh Doherty’s switch to Brisbane Road.
