Leyton Orient beat Wealdstone FC at The Grosvenor Vale stadium in a pre-season friendly after coming from behind to secure the victory.

Eddie Oshodi opened the scoring within five minutes as he scored from a David Hunt free-kick.

However, Orient equalised in the 26th minute through Jay Simpson as Gavin Massey supplied the assist.

The O’s made it two through Sandro Semedo as he hit home from the left hand side of the pitch as Wealdstone failed to find the equaliser.

Orient got an early chance in the second minute as Robbie Weir found Massey who passed to Jordan Bowery and his shot was saved before Liam Kelly smashes over the rebound.

Wealdstone make it 1-0 within five minutes as Oshodi tapped in the ball past goalkeeper Ales Cisak on the left-hand side of the goal.

The home side looked the more likely to score once again as Elliot Benyon shot a lobbed effort over Cisak’s bar in the 11th minute.

The O’s managed to get their breakthrough in the 26th minute as Simpson scored from the edge of the box as Massey cut the ball back and Simpson hits a curled effort passed The Stones keeper Jonathan North.

Ex-Stones winger Bowery had a lovely run from Massey and he tried twice to cut back for a team mate but was denied in the 29th minute.

The Stones struggled slightly after Orient equalised and Semedo made it 2-1 seven minutes after their first as he smashed the ball from the left-hand side of the box into the corner after a quick breakaway.

The National League side pressed for the equaliser in the 41st minute as Danny Green passed through to Benyon who tried to get the better of O’s Sean Clohessy, but the defender was equal to his effort.

Tom Parkes was the only one from the O’s team to remain on the pitch for the second half as Wealdstone’s captain Wes Parker came off for Tom Cadmore.

The first chance of the second half fell to the O’s as Dean Cox tried a shot on goal but North gathered the effort in the 49th minute.

Wealdstone continued to look for the equaliser as Tom Hamblin’s shot was saved off the line from a Josh Doherty in the 65th minute.

Oshodi thought he had the equaliser once again two minutes later as he skimmed passed Orient’s defence but his left-footed shot hit the side netting.

Sub goalkeeper Charlie Grainger made a fine save from six-yards as Josh Hutchinson tried a close range shot in the 73rd minute.

The away side kept pushing for a third and in the 85th minute Josh Koroma crossed the ball into the box but Ollie Palmer headed back across the goal and the ball went wide.

Sahr Kabba pushed through for The Stones but Grainger saved well to keep the score at 2-1 two minutes later and it stayed this way until the final whistle.
