Leyton Orient lost 2-0 in a pre-season friendly to Dover at the Crabble.

Dover opened the scoring through Ricky Miller as he scored from a corner as Ricky Modeste got the assist.

Tyrone Marsh scored the Whites second from another set-piece as he doubled their lead in the 64th minute.

The home side made an early effort from Mitch Pinnock but his shot was deflected wide by Sean Clohessy in the fourth minute.

In the ninth minute the O’s goalkeeper made another save this time from Jim Stevenson with a shot just outside the box.

Orient made a break in the 12th minute as Gavin Massey played in Clohessy who tried to deliver a ball into the box but Pinnock closed him down and the ball went out of play.

Miller kept causing the O’s back four a lot of trouble and in the 22nd minute Yuan Erichot tried to battle with the forward but lost out and Clohessy had to block the shot.

Two minutes later down the other end, Gavin Massey latched onto a loose ball and had a run at the Dover defence but Jack Parkinson held him off and his shot was collected by Mitch Walker.

The Whites opened the scoring in the 28th minute as Miller prodded home from short range after Modeste headed the ball down into the box.

A minute later, Miller should have made it 2-0 as Pinnock flicked the ball onto him but he dragged his effort wide past an onrushing Sargeant.

Orient tried to find an equaliser in the 38th minute as Dean Cox floated in a free-kick to the back post but Paul McCallum’s headed the ball wide.

In the 43rd minute, Massey broke away from the Whites defence but he was dispossessed by a solid tackle from Aswad Thomas.

Sandro Semedo got Orient off to a brighter start in the second but his shot was blocked.

Three minutes later, Armand Gnanduillet brought down the ball and curled his shot towards goal but was saved by Steve Arnold.

In the 59th minute Stevenson had the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled out for offside after Cisak initially saved Miller’s effort.

Semedo tried to push for an equaliser but another one of his efforts went over the bar.

Dover made it 2-0 five minutes later as Marsh hit his free-kick up and over the wall and into the top corner of the net.

Orient tried to pull one back but it was to no avail and the final score was 2-0 to Dover.
