Andy Hessenthaler understood the fan frustration today after Leyton Orient suffered another home defeat as they lost 1-0 to Yeovil.

Tom Eaves scored the only goal of the game to give The Glovers their second victory in League Two.

Jay Simpson and Nigel Atangana both made returns and were second half substitutes but even their presence was not enough.

“I can’t quite put my finger on it really as we didn’t see it coming today in terms of the two away games we had, the positivity we have had and the training week we have had,” said Hessenthaler.

“We just didn’t find anything today, but they were the better the team it is as simple as that.

“We have got to take the loss on the chin and come in on Monday and start working ready to put it right on Saturday.”

The 51-year-old was left confused at how his side have now lost three games in four and only gained a possible three out of 15 points.

Their last home win came against Stevenage where they won 3-0 and kept their only clean sheet at Brisbane Road.

He added: “We have got a good group of players, we have a decent dressing room in terms of their togetherness and whether we are a little bit nervous in front of our own fans I do not know.

“We have conceded another set play again today as well as we switched off, we have got to stop doing that.

“I don’t think it just comes down to that today, it comes down to the performance.

“We were all disappointed with the result today and I know in that dressing room they will all go home unhappy and hopefully we will put it right next week. “ Nicky Hunt had to come off at half time as he sustained an injury at the end of the first and it looks as though the defender will miss out the next few weeks and with limited cover at the back it leaves the O’s short.

“The physio says it is a medial collateral ligament injury so there is damage, he will have to have a scan on Monday.

“We will have to look at a few situations, we have a couple of players in the building on trial so we will see what we can do during the week.”

The O’s travel to Notts County on Saturday, September 24 who are also on a bad run of home form before they host Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday, September 27 with a 7.45pm kick off.
