Leyton Orient’s number one Alex Cisak does not understand why Leyton Orient cannot emulate their away form at home at Brisbane Road.

The O’s are unbeaten on the road as they have won and drawn twice against Cheltenham, Grimsby, Morecambe and Carlisle.

But the now sit 10th in the Sky Bet League Two table after a poor run of form which has saw them lose three in four at E10.

“For some reason we are doing well away from home but can’t do the same at home for some reason, we just need to get back onto the training ground and refocus,” said Cisak.

“It is quite strange as I thought the boys were flying this week in training, we have had a great team spirit and we have been working hard but it is a frustrating thing.

“We worked so hard during the week and on Saturday it is the complete opposite so it is a shock for us.

“But we just need to refocus and go again.

The 27-year-old has featured in all of the O’s games this season and has made some crucial saves to ensure Orient keep their away record and hopes he can improve on his clean sheet record.

And the Australian is hoping after coming off of two great away results, the 1-0 defeat to Yeovil was a one off but understands why the fans would be frustrated.

He added: “They have paid to come and watch us and they are obviously frustrated by the quality of the performance.

“I can understand that as we are frustrated ourselves, we were not good enough on the day.

“I am frustrated at the way the goal happened, set piece, a short corner which we thought they might do.

“It is disappointing how they scored, we were showed the video of how they do short corners and one of two of the defenders switched off.

“And obviously they scored, it is disappointing from our point of view.”

One positive that was taken away from the game was the return of Jay Simpson, who scored 25 goals last season, and Nigel Atangana.

Both were out on the side-lines due to injury but have gave O’s boss Andy Hessenthaler the much needed boost to his squad.

“Jay is a great player, he was our top goalscorer last year and hopefully he stays fit for the rest of the season and scores a lot of goals for us,” said the goalkeeper.

“Nigel came into the team before his injury and done really well, I know the injury has been frustrating for him.

“It is good to have him back and to give options for the gaffer and hopefully they will be able to help out the team in general.”
