Alberto Cavasin believes it is all about team performance after individual errors saw Leyton Orient lose 2-1 to Luton Town at Brisbane Road.

Orient finally broke their drought as Ollie Palmer scored their first League goal since September 24 but it was not enough as Danny Hylton and Cameron McGeehan sealed the three points for the Hatters.

The Os have now gone seven games without a win and will need to pick up points on the road next week to Hartlepool as they sit just above the relegation zone in the League Two.

He said: “The whole team needs to try and take home a result even when an individual makes a mistake.

“We need to be able to say we have had good luck, but we never had any today but we know if we get some luck we can bring it to our side.

“We need to work hard during the week and hopefully things go right for us on Saturday, we do not need to improve much on the pitch.

“But we need to change the attitude in the group and all together hopefully we can bring everything out to achieve the right results.”

Nigel Atangana was back in the squad following a period of absence on the sidelines through injury which was an added boost to the Orient midfield.

Captain Robbie Weir will also be back next week for the trip to Hartlepool as he has served his three match ban following his red card against Plymouth Argyle.

“Atangana was an added boost. He came back onto the pitch and did quite well. He did not have a great physical condition,” added the 60-year-old.

“But he is a player that has great quality, a great personality and great experience and helped develop our play today.

“It is important we build up from the midfield. With Weir coming back it is very important.

“Even if they players that played in his position today gave everything having him there helps a lot.

“We have to pump ourselves up, even in the changing room and after we learn to live from this defeat we can look at the positives and move forward.

“No one today was the culprit we need to work as a team and we have to compact ourselves even more and be even better.”

The Os game against Hartlepool kicks off at 3pm on Saturday, October 22 at Victoria Park.
