Leyton Orient took on Crewe Alexandra at Brisbane Road and recorded another loss as The Railwaymen won 2-0 in their League Two fixture.

Harry Davis and George Cooper were on hand to latch onto defensive errors from the O’s to ensure they took home all three points.

Nigel Atangana ran ragged all over the pitch to ensure the O’s got back into the game before he was subbed in the second half to a round of boos from the Orient faithful.

Alberto Cavasin will once again have to go back to the drawing board for their Colchester match away on Saturday, November 12.

Orient started the livelier of the two sides and on the sixth minute Callum Kennedy went for goal and despite curling his effort over the wall it was held comfortably by Ben Garrett.

In what was a tasty bit of skill, former O’s player Chris Dagnall tried to close down Alex Cisak but the latter left Dagnall for dust with a turn of the ball.

Dagnall remained true to his word as he tried to score against his former club and came close to doing so in the 16th minute but Cisak got down well to make the save before Jordan Bowery cleared.

Orient produced some lovely football and Sandro Semedo produced a back heel pass to Kennedy as the defender delivered a cross which was too far for Gavin Massey to reach.

But two minutes later Ryan Lowe released Alex Kiwomya but a heavy touch from the Crewe player saw the ball go out for a goal kick.

And although it was all Orient for the majority of the first half an hour it was Crewe who opened the scoring after the O’s defence failed to clear the ball and Cooper smashed it home.

Crewe could have easily made it 2-0 two minutes later as Kiwomya looked to add a quick second but Tom Parkes was well positioned and cleared off the line.

It soon became a disaster for Orient as Davis got in behind the O’s defence and found the back of the net just before half-time.

Orient made a much needed sub at half-time as Michael Collins made his O’s debut after coming on for Jordan Bowery.

The home side tried everything in their power to get themselves back into the game and their first chance fell to Palmer who found some space in the area but his shot was pushed wide by Garrett.

Kennedy’s whipped in corner was then met by Parkes but he could not get his head onto the ball properly and it went out for a goal kick.

The Railwaymen had a strong penalty claim denied as Ryan Lowe was barged off the ball but referee Andy Haines waved it away in the 57th minute.

Captain Robbie Weir sprinted into action in the 66th minute as he ran in to meet the end of a cross but his touch was too soft and Garrett easily collected.

Ulrich Nnomo came on for Massey and tried to have an immediate impact as his cross is cleared to Weir but his shot from the edge of the box is well over.

Unfortunately for the winger his time on the pitch was short lived as he was stretchered off and Orient had to finish the game with 10 men.

The second half was scrappy to say the least and Orient now sit in the bottom two after they have failed to win a single game at home since their 3-0 victory over Stevenage on August 16.

And there was more protests at full-time for the owner Francesco Becchetti but fans clapped the players off the pitch.

Orient have only scored one goal in their last five home games and lost seven.
