Danny Webb knows his Leyton Orient side need to pick up points against Notts County tomorrow as they look to avoid relegation.

County sits just above the O's on 30 points and former Orient manager Kevin Nolan will make his return to the Matchroom Stadium following his exit last summer.

The E10 club were flying high on Tuesday night following their shock 3-2 win over title chasers Plymouth Argyle.

But vice-captain Liam Kelly could now be set to miss crucial games after Argyle reported him to the FA for an alleged shove on 17-year-old ball boy and has been subsequently charged.

When speaking to the Waltham Forest Guardian the 33-year-old said of Saturday's game: “It is difficult. You cannot help but glance at the league table but I try not to. I told the players not too and as soon as you get home from training switch off.

“Don’t go on the internet. Do not look at other team’s fixtures, other teams form, just concentrate on ourselves.

“And what will be will be. And if we keep playing like that what will be, will be very positive.

“But at the moment we are second from bottom. There is a long way to go. And I still think we are probably the favourites to go down from outside despite tonight’s result.

“We have to make sure we keep proving people wrong.”

Sam Sargeant once again proved why he was selected to be number one on Tuesday evening by the former Southend player.

Despite being only 19-years of age, Sargeant kept the game alive when Orient were 2-1 down in the second half.

The Pilgrim's Nauris Bulvitis looked certain to hit the back of the net with five minutes to play.

However, the ball hit the left post and trickled across the goal line for Sargeant to dive on.

“He is excellent and that is why I play him. I know there are people out there saying about the decisions and who makes them," said Webb when asked about how Sargeant is taking the games into his stride.

“With me and my upbringing and my family, there is only one way I am going to do this and I have my principles of how I do stuff.

“Every team sheet you see is the team sheet I decide upon. People can believe that or not, it doesn’t really matter because Sam Sargeant will be an excellent goalkeeper.

“Just like Alex Cisak is an excellent goalkeeper. Just like Charlie Grainger will be one. I am not going to say, Sargeant has saved the day.

“As I am sure if the other two were playing they would make very good saves. I do think he brings something different compared to the other two.

“But just like they bring different things than him. He starts off our attacks quickly and hopefully he will get better and better.”

Paul McCallum is likely to miss tomorrow's clash due to a recurring knee injury.

However, Sammy Moore, Nigel Atangana, and Yvan Erichot could feature.

“He had a virus. And it is risky with those viruses as if you get him in, and he did say I can train and be part of it.

“But I don’t feel right if that spreads and we have to use even more of the youth team. He has kept away on doctors orders.

“And I think Nigel (Atangana) and Yvan (Erichot) will be back training this week.”

The match kicks off at 3pm.
