Leyton Orient have now shipped 15 goals in four games after they fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Crawley Town at the Broadfield Stadium.

James Collins, Joe McNerney and Enzio Boldewijn all scored from set pieces to give the home side the deserved victory.

The O’s had some good chances but failed to capitalise on any of them as they fell to their fourth consecutive defeat.

After a week where their future has been left in limbo, boss Danny Webb will hope they can gain something out of next week’s match against Wycombe Wanderers.

Orient started the brighter of the two sides and gained the first chance of the match in the third minute.

Liam Kelly broke into the box and picked out Josh Koroma who could only fire the ball into the side netting.

Tom Parkes had to make way in the 12th minute through injury. Teddy Mezague came on in his place.

Kelly fired a shot from distance with a hope it would catch Glenn Morris off his line but the ball went straight over the bar.

Orient had two chances in quick succession when Koroma attempted to play in Steven Alzate but is passed was rolled through to Morris.

A minute later, Kelly picked out Gavin Massey but Andre Blackman did enough to clear the ball before Morris raced off his line to kick the ball out for a throw-in.

It took until the 23rd minute for the deadlock to be broken and it went in the favour of the hosts as Collins headed the ball home after Sam Sargeant had saved a Josh Payne free-kick.

Crawley doubled their lead six minutes later once again from a Payne set-piece but this time McNerney crashed the ball home with a superb header.

And it was a crash landing back down to earth for the O’s after Boldewijn flicked in the third in off the post although it looked as though Sargeant had managed to stop the ball going over the line.

In the second half, a pass forward by Collins was let bounce by Mezague but the defender eventually managed to clear for a throw-in.

Smith took a shot at goal inside the area in the 54th minute but Sargeant was equal to the effort.

Massey had two chances to try and reduce the deficit when Myles Judd’s cross was turned behind for a corner.

Kelly’s corner then fell for the winger three minutes later, who took a touch before he curled a shot well over the bar.

The Reds had a few chances in the second half with Josh Payne and Rhys Murphy both shooting narrowly wide of the post.

The final 45 was a quiet affair and neither side were able to find the net as the Reds gained the win.
