Danny Webb admitted Leyton Orient's 3-0 defeat to Crawley Town was like 'groundhog day'.

James Collins, Joe McNerney and Enzio Boldewijn all scored from set pieces to ensure the three points went the host's way.

Orient have now shipped 15 goals in four consecutive losses in League Two as they are staring into the face of relegation into the National League.

Crawley's Glenn Morris had little to save with Orient's only main chance coming from Gavin Massey who shot wide of the post.

Webb said: "It is a little bit like groundhog day in the manner of the goals conceded.

"I think even the games where we got clapped off at home and played every so well, we always got clapped off for our attacking play.

"I think today before they scored the first goal we were excellent, I think that has been the story of it for me know.

"Hopefully the penny will now drop with some people that this has been coming for a very long time.

"And I keep singing on my own the same hymn about next season with the youngsters and I am just waiting for someone to back me up on it which is just getting a little bit frustrating.

"The only people who are backing me up at the moment is these punters and you lot.

"Least people are seeing what I am trying to do. At the same that is why I have been playing down the staying up staying up message all the time because with what we have got it was always going to be hard.

"I am not making excuses about what we have got but going back to the positives we can look at what we have and add to it for next season if it is in the conference or League Two.

"At the minute, everyone, the fans and everyone who is connected live day by the club day by day.

"The have supported this club for a long time. Sooner or later something has to be publically announced about a plan.

"Because I am out of contract at the end of the season. I am doing my best to get a plan in place but I have no assurances myself.

"I feel a little bit hard done by in that sense. But at the same time, we should all be talking about the positive of Steven Alzate performance.

"It's hard because we just got beaten by 3-0 by three unbelievably bad goals.

"But I have just forced myself to look at those positives and I am waiting for people to come from behind me and back me up on it.

"Because recruitment process should start now. We should be talking to players in there who we are going to keep, players in there who are going to move on.

"We should be talking to the youngsters about extending contracts. whatever you say every 14, 15-year-old in London who has got something might suddenly turn down Chelsea to come to Orient because you are getting into the first team at 17-18.

"Those sort of things should be publicised. It is a bit frustrating because I seem to be the only one from the club sort of saying it.

"And if it was my choice I would sit down with players now and be honest with the ones and say you probably won't be here.

"Be honest with the ones who are going to stay here, I would start tapping players up left, right and centre.

"And you don't want to be playing in the Conference. But my point all along even during the good times, it is not the worst thing in the world for the club because the way I am trying to do things, we will come back 10 times stronger than we have ever been.

"And that is a guarantee but I need a little back up on it, a little bit of strength behind me.

"I don't want to be the only voice saying it all the time. So in terms of the result and the manner of the goals, very disappointing.

"Very much groundhog day. Parkesy (Tom Parkes) goes off you have no one of League Two standard to replace him.

"So it is very very difficult in that sense and it's also hard for people like  Kels (Liam Kelly) who is trying to do like 14 jobs at once.

"Kels is one of them we should be talking to about next season. Does he want to stay in the Conference? Maybe, maybe not.

"But there needs to be some positives. You will find fans will react to that if we put a message out saying we are going to sign Michael Collins for next year, we are going to sign Liam Kelly for you.

"It gives everyone a little lift instead of the doom and gloom that is constantly been around this place and rightly so."
