Leyton Orient’s Myles Judd has won the LFE Apprentice of the Year for League Two at the 2017 EFL Awards.
The 17-year-old has made 22 senior appearances for Orient with 21 of those coming this season.
After winning the award, the defender said: “To be recognised by the EFL is fantastic and I am so proud.
"Personally I have had a good season and hopefully, I can kick on from collecting this award.”
It is a piece of good news for the O's following a tough week of players and staff not receiving their wages for the second time.
Last month the club was served a winding-up petition from HMRC over an unpaid tax bill believed to be around £125,000 to £250,000.
Owner Francesco Becchetti has paid the initial bill but other creditors have taken over the petition. They are due in High Court on Monday, June 12.
Judd's award will be a welcomed respite.
