Leyton Orient’s squad strengthening ahead of their National League campaign has continued with the signing of Romuald Boco.

The French-born Benin international attacking midfielder has signed a two-year-deal and arrives at Brisbane Road after a well-travelled club career.

Having started his career at Chamois Niortais, Boco arrived on these shores in 2005 to join Accrington Stanley.

After helping Stanley to Conference promotion and then establish themselves in League Two, the 32-year-old spent two years in Ireland with Sligo Rovers, during which he spent a short spell on loan with Burton Albion.

Boco’s travelling continued in 2011 when he moved to China for a year to play for Shanghai East Asia before he returned to Sligo and then moved back to Accrington for a second spell.

The player spent time with Plymouth Argyle and Chesterfield before his career took him to India in January 2015 to sign for Bharat.

He then returned to England to join Portsmouth in 2015/16 and moves to E10 following a third stint at Stanley where he scored seven goals in 38 appearances last term.
