Leyton Orient suffer Bromley defeat after Bondz N'Gala's early red card

The O’s were up against it from the moment Bondz N’Gala was sent off after just four minutes and even more so after Louis Dennis scored what proved to be the only goal of the game midway through the opening period. However, Justin Edinburgh’s men had the opportunities to at least get back on terms, but were unable to convert one.

Fresh from his loan spell at Brisbane Road being extended, N’Gala’s inclusion at the expense of Dan Happe was to be the only change from the side which defeated Dagenham & Redbridge last time out.

But the Daggers loanee’s contribution to the contest was to be shortlived as he was sent off by referee David Rock for a foul on George Porter.

With a man advantage, Bromley enjoyed some extensive spells of possession and they were to make it count when Dennis beat Dean Brill to give the visitors the lead.

Orient were close to going into the break all-square though, when Josh Coulson headed against the post following a James Dayton free-kick and the defender was to see another effort cleared off the line from a Jobi McAnuff corner.

If Coulson suspected it wasn’t his day, those feelings were probably confirmed when he was denied by another goalline intervention after the break from another McAnuff corner.

Edinburgh’s men kept plugging away as Alex Lawless was denied from 20 yards by a good save, Craig Clay clipped the bar with a diving header from a Dayton cross and Macauley Bonne headed over from six yards.

The O’s were to have two further opportunities deep into injury time, but Clay lashed over after Bonne had chested a Matt Harrold cross into his path, and then Bonne couldn’t make the most of an opportunity from close range after a Jake Caprice cross had been parried to him.
