O’s midfielder James Brophy has been selected in the National League’s Team-of-the-Weekend after his performance against AFC Fylde on Saturday.
Brophy, who returned to Brisbane Road permanently in January from Swindon Town, made his second start since re-joining on Saturday and impressed once again, playing an influential role in Orient’s 1-0 win over AFC Fylde.
He has been named as the team-of-the-weekend’s captain and the midfielder almost had an assist to show for his efforts on Saturday, but Macauley Bonne was inches away from connecting with the former Swindon Town man’s deflected cross.
Brophy has been joined in the team-of-the-weekend by defender Josh Coulson, who has been named among the substitutes after his display at the back. Coulson was to make a crucial block in the dying minutes to prevent AFC Fylde from nicking a point, helping the O’s secure their first clean sheet in five games.
