Leyton Orient’s National League fixture against Maidenhead United has been postponed after a pitch inspection.
The O’s were due to face Alan Devonshire’s men at Brisbane Road this afternoon, with Orient bidding to secure their third league win in a row, but the match was called off by referee Adam Penwell after the corners of the pitch were deemed to be in a dangerous condition following heavy rain.
Supporters, players and Orient groundstaff all tried their best to get the game on, but their efforts were to be in vein after the referee called the game off after his 1:30 pitch inspection.
No date has been set for the rearranged fixture.
