WINGER Jason Demetriou believes Orient can't give up on the play-off's despite a heavy 3-0 defeat against Carlisle all but ending their chances of a top six finish.

The O's are now tenth in the table, and while they are only three points off sixth spot they will have to hope other slip up and have little room for error in their final seven games, if they are to keep their promotion dreams alive.

Reflecting on events, Demetriou said: "I personally feel that Carlisle are one of the better teams in the league if not the best in it.

"We were sloppy though with the first couple of goals and then of course the sending didn't help, but credit to them they stuck a bus in front of the goal and we couldn't break them.

"But while we are all disappointed about the result we've got to pick ourselves up and keep going.

"We still believe that we can make the play-off's and with games coming up against Cheltenham and Port Vale now, there is every chance we can get six points and put ourselves right back in it.

"At the moment we've just got to focus now on Cheltenham on Monday and look to put this poor performance behind us.

"We've not had back-to-back defeats this season, so we will go there looking to keep that going and I'm sure a win will lift the camp and hopefully help us get back on track."
