ORIENT boss Martin Ling claims his injury ravaged squad are aiming to maintain their progress in the Johnstone's Paint trophy at Brighton tonight.

The O's saw off another old rival in the first round when they beat Southend 4-2, but with Ling set to be without eight first-team members for this Withdean clash, he is fully aware they are in for a real test against the Seagulls.

He said: “Once again injuries and illness have not been kind to us. But we should still have a strong team out because the rules of the competition state we've got to play six players who have played in most of our games so far this season.

“And we still go into the game looking to win it, because there is the carrot of a Wembley final waiting for the two teams that get through.”
