ORIENT manager Martin Ling has ruled out risking long-term injury victims Danny Granville and Tamika Mkandawire for tonight's game at Brighton.

The pair had been expected to feature in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash at the Withdean, but with the duo having been out for most of the season with groin injuries, Ling believes this match may have come too soon for them.

He said: “As I've said all along it is a case of looking at the bigger picture of the whole season rather than brining Danny and Tam back too soon.

“We were looking for them to maybe feature in this game, and while they have returned to training we aren't completely satisfied that they are ready yet.

“So the reserve team game against Wycombe is a more likely option now.”
