ORIENT have unveiled striker James Scowcroft as their latest signing.

The 33 year-old hitman joins on a one year contract after he was released by Championship club Crystal Palace.

Scowcroft will join another newcomer, Adrian Patulea, in attack at Brisbane Road, and also veteran Scott McGleish and Ryan Jarvis.

During his time at Selhurst Park, he scored 14 goals in 83 games.

Boss Geraint Williams said about his latest summer acquisition: “We've been talking to James about a transfer here for a while and I'm really pleased to add him to our squad.

"He's a good player who scores goals and I feel he will have a big part to play for us this season.”

Meanwhile, defender Matt Richards and forward Dominic Casciato have been told they will not be offered contracts at Orient.

The pair had featured in Orient’s two pre-season games, but Williams decided against recruiting them.

More to follow on Scowcroft.
