Adrian Patulea was happy to show boss Geraint Williams he was right to pick him against Colcester, on Tuesday night.

The 24 year-old Romanian striker scored after just 90 seconds on his competitive debut, in round one of the Carling Cup.

Afterwards, he said: "I'm delighted the gaffer gave me the chance to get in the first eleven and that I have given him that confidence.

"Orient is a very important step for me in my career. I want to take this chance and give Orient goals.

"I think I can apply the pressure and score goals all the time.

"I'm really happy to be scoring and that we won against a good side".
