IT was a massive result for us against Peterborough on Saturday and I don't think things could have gone better with other results going our way.

We could all see our fans celebrating during the game, although at one stage it did look like some duff information had been passed around because it seemed that people were celebrating as if Macclesfield had got a second goal against Grimsby.

Anyway, a draw in that game puts it right back into our hands and I thought we really did play well to beat Peterborough with ten men.

It was a good job that we were already one up, although I think if Paul Connor hadn't been sent off we'd have beaten them comfortably.

I thought he was a little unlucky because he just seemed to try and shrug their lad off, but caught him in the face with an elbow.

But we dug in and having done a lot of work in training over the summer in defending in a group they struggled to break us down.

I didn't get a chance to catch up with Lee Harrison and I was going to ask what it was like having big Ron Atkinson around the place.

We head to Jim Smith's Oxford for what is going to be a really highly-charged game now on Saturday.

It is unbelievable to think a club of their size face being relegated to the Conference and they need to win to have any chance of avoiding the drop.

But we aren't bothered about that because if we don't win we face having to go into the play-offs.

So all the lads have been fired up in training this week and we know so much is at stake with this game.

May I also add that Jabo must be having acting lessons, because having covered my car in toilet roll at training he did a very good job in convincing me that it wasn't him.

The only flaw in his attack was that the car park is covered by CCTV and lucky for me the whole of the incident had been captured on film.

So all I'll say is that Jabo had best watch himself in the weeks ahead because I will be getting my revenge.
