Where do I start? It’s becoming like a worn out record. Our home form – which must be amongst or possibly the worst in the country - continues to dog us.
And that was after we took the lead against a side only beaten four times in the league this season. We actually looked good once we had scored, but how many times have we conceded having been in front and then thrown the game away.
It was difficult enough to stomach the Sheffield Wednesday home reverse last weekend, but the home ‘against’ column is now in double figures. You may know differently, but I think you would have to go back to the 1994/95 season to match this unwanted record.
But, it was again the manner of the defeat. We seemed to crumble once we had let them back in the game and – not for the first time this season – the visitors looked dangerous every time they went forward. And no surprise that Jordan ‘I score for fun’ Rhodes should rub our noses in it.
We now have less than 72 hours to get back on track. But the way the season has gone in E10, Notts County will come here favourites. That however, could work in our favour and perhaps the pressure will be on the away side.
Keep the faith.
Up the O’s.
