Orient recorded their first league win of 2013 with a well deserved 2-1 win against Notts County.

It ended County's run of 22 away games without defeat and our run of five league matches without a win.

The game got off to a patchy start but soon found a rhythm as the O's pressed forward when the Magpies lost the services of their keeper Bartosz Bialkowski who was stretcherd off after diving at the feet of Charlie Macdonald.

He was replaced by young German keeper Fabian Speiss who was no rookie for he proved to be a fine deputy pulling off a series of saves. But he was beaten twice in three minutes, first when David Mooney netted with a header, and then Mathieu Baudry volleyed home from close range.

County responded soon after when Jeff Hughes gave County a lifeline but Orient held out for the 90 plus eight minutes extra time due to the injury and the delay while referee Lee Collins was forced to hand over the whistle to one of his assistants after pulling a muscle.

So job done. It was a good game to watch and we played well. We had a good ratio of ball possession and shots on target. We fear no-one and still remain positive in our play. Next up it's Swndon Town at home who are playing well at the moment.

Bring it on,

Up the O's.
