Leyton Orient v Swindon Town fan's view

It's been 56 games in all competitions since the O's had a no score draw. That's some achievement as we've been spoilt for goals but on this night it was not to be. However it was not for the want of trying.

The game was played in awful conditions, driving rain and strong winds, but it had its moments. Two penalty shouts were turned down by referee Andy D'Urso, the second decision was harsh on winger Moses Odubajo who shrugged off two tackles before going to ground, only to be booked for diving. Lee Cook had a similar situation and was also booked for diving.

The Robins were then denied by the upright and then Town also went close when a long-range shot was turned away at full stretch by O's keeper Jamie Jones.

But the best was saved till last when three minutes from time Town's shot-stopper Wes Foderingham produced a fantastic reaction save at point-blank range to keep out Jimmy Smith's thunder shot.

Swindon are a good side, well organised with a steely determination, egged on by their manager Paolo Di Canio, who was a sight to be hold with his animated touchline antics.

As the game progressed his frustration grew, his arms got wider, and he looked like an Italian singer without the song.

The O's fans soon found their voice in their appreciation for the man with passion. It's good that Lee Cook and Martin Rowlands have put pen to paper and signed a deal as they have both fitted in well into the side and are vital in our plans going foward.

The team are playing well with David Mooney in double figures on his goal tally. Cook and Rowlands have added a new dimension while Dean Cox, even when coming on as sub, never fails to excite.

Our defence has tightened up so it all bodes well for the coming games to come. All this without Kevin Lisbie which, when he does return, can only put the icing on the cake. I can't wait to tuck-in.

Next up Stevenage are a big side and that will be a test but we have proved we can match the best.
