Captain Stephen Purches tried to look on the bright side of a ‘disappointing’ defeat to MK Dons, on Saturday.
The 1-0 result means Orient have not won a match since they thrashed Bristol Rovers, on February 2.
Ahead of the away game tomorrow at Oldham Athletic, who are fighting against relegation from League One, Purches insisted: “We want to win games.”
“We had one loss in nine before the game and now it’s two in ten games” he said.
"We were on sort of an unbeaten run which we were trying to continue. That wasn’t to be.
“You can manipulate statistics whichever way you like, but we lost.”
It has nudged the O's one place down League One, to 16th place.
He added that Orient have to learn from the manner of the defeat at Stadium: MK.
“They had their game plan, which was to step onto us and keep possession. But we soaked that up pretty well.
“(Orient keeper Jamie Jones) Jonesy didn’t really have to make a save if you look at it.”
But the right-back criticised the absence of cutting edge by Orient in their performance.
“It was a nothing game by us, which we didn’t really step into.
“Attacking wise, we had the odd bit here and there, but nothing to write home about, and that’s disappointing.”
