ORIENT deserved much more than defeat today, insisted boss Russell Slade.
The manager hailed as “fantastic” the 79th minute screamer by Dean Cox which hauled Orient back into the game, just a minute after a Ben Chorley deflected own-goal made it 2-0 to Huddersfield Town.
“The chances were there to get a point and I think we deserved a point” said Slade.
“I thought where was a lot of positives. It's frustrating because we conceded from a free kick and a corner and we worked very hard to score a fantastic goal which deserved to win a match.
“There weren't a lot of chances for both sides. I thought we played the better football. Lee Clark (Town boss) said we absolutely battered them in the first half.
“Then it was a muddling second half, where whatever we did they tried to match us up. It was going to be frustrating, which was the idea.”
