Leyton Orient confirm "six-figure package" has been accepted from Barnsley for captain

Leyton Orient have accepted an improved offer from Barnsley for captain Stephen Dawson, the club has confirmed.

Guardian Series Sport revealed this morning that a higher bid for the midfielder had been accepted after a previous bid from the Championship club had been refused.

A statement on the club’s website describes the offer as a “six-figure package” and that the 26-year-old will now discuss personal terms with the Tykes ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline.
