THE future of Orient winger JJ Melligan continues to remain unclear, with a move back to former club Cheltenham still in the balance.
The 26-year-old, who despite having two years remaining on his Brisbane Road contract was placed on the transfer list last week by manager martin Ling, after a poor first season following his summer switch from the Robins.
Melligan has been heavily linked with a quick return to Whaddon Road, although Town boss Keith Downing has refused to be drawn on the speculation.
He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "JJ is one of many players who will be on a list of available players coming out this summer.
"I want to sort my own camp out first and I am not going to panic into new signings early on."
