WE FAILED to pick up wins against both Tranmere and Crewe because we didn't play well enough from the off.
It was hugely frustrating that having gone into both games confident that we could secure victories, we just struggled to get going.
On Saturday at Tranmere we showed great character to get a point in the end, but we really had to follow that up with a win on Tuesday night at home to Crewe.
After a poor first half we picked it up in the second half, but we just couldn't score.
We absolutely battered them, but a combination of poor finishing and their keeper having a worldie meant we were left hugely frustrated.
I think had we scored one we would have gone on to win the game. It is up to us now to regroup as a squad and start putting it right, because we still have a great chance of securing a play off spot.
Normally when we have suffered a defeat this season, we have bounced back with a positive result and that is what we know we need to do at Luton now.
They are down their fighting for their lives and as we discovered a few weeks back when we beat them at our place they are still a decent side with good players, so we know that we will have to go there and play well from the off this time.
Finally I have to report that Sandy Risley has been up to his old ticks.
Because having not had much joy at cards at the front of the bus with the gaffer and others he slipped up the back to take all our money off us lot again on our trip to Tranmere.
