The East London Runners impressed in various marathons at the weekend, with Sam Browne and Russell Price both gaining personal bests in Sunday’s Greater Manchester Marathon.
The pair clocked times of 3.02.59 and 3.12.45 respectively, with Browne’s 18-year-old brother Joe making his marathon debut and performing well with a time of 3.45.37.
Roger Stubbs also got a personal best with a time of 4.32.40.
Sam and Joe’s parents, Paul and Jayne, completed the Greater Manchester relay Marathon in times of 1.31.46 and 2.29.32 respectively.
In the Brighton Marathon, Dave Baldwin edged out teammate Roberto Bruni by less than a minute in a closely fought battle.
Elsewhere, in the Paris Marathon, Danny Lee ran well to achieve his personal best with a time of 2.53.01. Jonny Shaw ran a respectable 3.54.47, with Fiona Day and Kieran Brown both running 4.42.16.
Euan Brown won the 5km Wanstead Flats on Saturday, clocking a personal best time of 15.35, and setting the course record in the process.
Mark Boulton set a time of 17.56 register third place, edging out fourth placed Ciaran Canavan by less than a minute.
