The Eastside Eagles Under-12s basketball team were crowned London champions at the Copper Box Arena at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
In their first season at Under-12 level, the Eagles were unbeaten, qualifying for the final against Gintaras by topping their pool.
Comfortable 35-4 winners in the final, the side have been put together this year and head coach Jim Hogge explained: “Some of the players will move up to Under-13s next year but some of them are quite young so they will stay at Under-12s for another year.
“A few of them are only in Year 7 at school.
“A couple of the older players go to school together and they play together all the time,” he added.
