CROSTYX ladies stretched their unbeaten run to four games as they returned to outdoor action with a hard fought home draw that moved them off the foot of the table.
In a match of few chances at the Peter May, Alys Hackett failed to make the most of several opportunitiesfor the hosts.
Sarah Belsham also broke clear only to be forced wide by the Canterbury keeper before she swiped the ball away to safety.
There was some good work by Keeley Pratt and Jo Campling in the middle of the park, while Jo Everett produced a solid performance at the back.
Anne Bills was the best player on the park for Crostyx and ensured the hosts held on for a share of the points which lifted them above St Albans in the table following their defeat against Chelmsford.
The ladies have another home league game against a Sudbury side, who are currently fourth in the table.
Meanwhile the men will return to action for the first time in 2007 with a trip to Wapping.
