Former Belgian junior international Felix Styles helped secure a draw on his debut for Wapping Men’s Firsts in their 2-2 draw with Harleston Magpies.

A deep cut to the forehead saw Mark Bennett ruled out of the contest, but Wapping recovered to take a first-half lead through Ollie Salvesen, who weaved beyond several defenders to lash home.

However, in the final ten minutes before half-time, Harleston scored two quick-fire goals to go 2-1 ahead before the break.

Both sides passed up chances in the second period, but a draw was earned when Styles converted from a short corner to tie the game up at 2-2.

"We paid for not finishing off our good build-up play and Harleston gave us a lesson in being clinical," said Wapping coach Ryan D’Souza.

Wapping Ladies’ Firsts were made to pay for their profligacy in front of goal after playing out a goalless draw with Harleston Magpies.

Hosts Wapping failed to make a number of set pieces count, whilst Fran Sutton forced a smart save from the visiting keeper on a frustrating afternoon.

"The team again produced a strong performance but unfortunately we couldn't quite convert the chances we created," noted captain Lucy Todd.
