Crostyx ladies were beaten 1-0 in a hotly-contested match against Chelmsford.
Both sides saw chances flow freely, but it was Chelmsford who took advantage to seal a narrow margin of victory.
Laura Feldman came close in the final ten minutes, hitting the post, but it was not to be Styx’s day. A trip to Brentwood awaits on Saturday.
Crostyx Ladies seconds extended their winning streak to three matches by picking up a 2-1 win at Old De Ferrians on Saturday.
The visitors took a 2-0 lead into half-time thanks to a brace from player-of-the-match, Anabelle Smith.
After the break, Crostyx improved further and enjoyed more control, but were unable to add to their first-half efforts.
Styx were made to pay for their profligacy in front of goal when the home side got back from a penalty corner, and despite their best effort, Old De Ferrians were unable to force the equaliser.
Crostyx ladies Thirds grabbed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 against unbeaten East London Fifths.
After winning 5-0 and 5-1 in their previous two league fixtures, Styx began brightly as the two sides traded chances at pace.
In a physical contest, it was East London who seized the initiative after the restart, taking the lead with a shot which found the right-hand corner of the goal.
Not to be denied, Crostyx battled hard and pushed their unbeaten visitors all the way until they forced a last-gasp equaliser, Lizzy Matson slotting into the left-hand corner of the goal to secure a share of the spoils.
