Leytonstone fighter Philip ‘Quicksilver’ Bowes will attempt to bounce back from his first professional defeat on March 14, 2015.
The 30-year-old super lighweight suffered his first defeat since turning professional with a tenth-round knock out by Joe Hughes at the beginning of October.
Bowes, who had won each of his previous nine bouts – two by knockout – will make his return at York Hall in the spring, with an opponent to be announced in four weeks time.
Reflecting on his defeat against Hughes at the O2 Arena, Bowes said: “I am not making excuses; I lost to the better man on the night. All the greats have suffered defeats and gone on from there to win belts, but I won’t be having another defeat, I can tell you that much.”
