Amelia Peddle won three medals as Epping Forest District Swimming Club enjoyed success at the 2015 Essex County Championships at Basildon Sporting Village.

Peddle led the way by winning silver in the 100m backstroke, as well as bronze medals in the 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke and also came home fourth in the 50m butterfly.

Pennants were won by Hannah Gillespie, who came sixth in 200m backstroke, Katie Whiffin, fourth in the 200m breaststroke and sixth in the 50m breaststroke and Roisin Clifford, who came seventh in the 100m butterfly with a four-second personal best and was also fourth in the 50m freestyle.

Georgie Park came fourth in the 200m backstroke with a personal best time of 2.49.87 and also finished fifth in the 50m freestyle.

Dora Zhou was sixth in the 100m backstroke, whilst Michael Sharp came fifth in the 50m butterfly.

A number of the club's younger swimmers were competing at the County Championships for the first time and there were personal bests for Rufus Jones, Thomas Bentley, Lukas Caci, Maxwell Jones, Jamie Levy, Taisia Tiron, Park, Samuel Bentley, Alexandra Bibby, Emily Clayfield, Rebecca Marks, Alice Nelson and Isabelle Creasey.

The next round of County Championships will take place at Southend in a fortnight.
