Leyton Orient Advanced Soccer Schools (LOASS) Under-12 girls have reached the semi-finals of the Essex League Cup by crushing Tigers FC 7-0.
In a powerful display the east Londoners showed once again their early season blip was well and truly behind them to seal their last-four place in style.
The first goal came via the left foot of Jessica Benning early on and was followed up by a looping strike from Tegan Attree at the near post.
A quick-fire brace from in-form striker Josie Burke made it 4-0, taking the game beyond the reach of Tigers.
LOASS started the second half on the front foot once more, with Brogan Jeffers Cass finishing well after a good through ball from Elisabeth Santiago.
Attree then doubled up after good combination play with man-of-the-match Evie Johnston down the left.
The east London outfit got their seventh late on when a tiring Tigers defence conceded a penalty. Defender Ria Lee stepped up to firmly drill beyond the goalkeeper and complete the scoring.
Head coach Joe Sheehan commented afterwards: “Evie showed great talent with her display today which galvanised the victory and made us unbeatable.”
LOASS will face further Essex opposition in the semi-final in the form of league-leaders UPR, who were defeated by LOASS a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, LOASS Under-15s swatted aside Charlton Athletic 5-1 in a fiercely-contested league fixture. The win means LOASS remain top of the table.
