Premier Division
Leaders May & Baker EC ‘A’ came unstuck for just the third time this termon Saturday, losing 4-1 at AAH Romford to see their sizeable lead cut.
Steven Richards notched all four for Romford, who strengthen their position in seventh with victory. Alec Simm scored May & Baker’s consolation goal.
May & Baker’s advantage at the summit is now 12 points, though second-placed Chingford Athletic have five games in hand on them.
Chingford Athletic ruthlessly dispatched ten-man Chingford Harriers 8-0, with Luke Arnold helping himself to a hat-trick.
Lee Bowers, James Clarke, Lee Doyle, Tom Pearce and Jake Edward Mignot also hit the back of the net to complete the rout.
Melbourne Sports were comfortable 4-0 winners at St Francis, a win which lifts them into sixth place.
John Shubert struck twice and was ably assisted by Greg Justham and Luke Norman in dismantling St Francis.
Eastside Rangers (London Community) drew 1-1 with Rainham Working Men’s Club.
Division One
With neither of the top two in league action, third-placed Vittoriosa Falcons profited with a 4-1 success over Forest Green.
Daniel Vearer (2) and Nathan Scarborough were amongst the goals for Vittoriosa Falcons, who move level with second-placed St John’s Deaf.
In the division’s only other fixture, London Bari Reserves just edged out Lord Nelson 3-2.
Division Two
West Essex Reserves gave a timely reminder of why they lead the division, thumping Newham Royals 7-2.
Lloyd Renvoize and Jack McQuibban both hit two, with Otis Gatehouse, Charles Saunders and Adam Norris also weighing in.
Glen Brickley and Richard Smith scored in reply for Newham.
Third-placed Leyton Green kept up the heat on the top two by brushing aside Cowley Community 5-1.
Fenton Cup Second Round
Two players scored hat-tricks as Cranes United march on, beating Singh Sabha Barking 6-2 en-route to round three.
Senkatuka Nelson and Kaizal Kiyingi both scored trebles to seal Cranes’ place in the hat for the next round.
Chingford Town edged out Jolof Sports Club by the odd goal in seven, winning 4-3 to advance.
Division Two Cup Quarter-Final
Dagenham United beat Northend Reserves 3-2 thanks to efforts from Kevin Badu, Jonnell Bampo and Francis Mireku.
