Senior Division Cup

There will be no cup glory for Newbury Forest this season after they were brushed aside 5-0 by Bishop's Stortford Swifts in the quarter-finals.

Anthony James scored all five to knock out Forest, who now turn their attentions to their Premier Division relegation battle.

Premier Division

Wadham Lodge have closed the gap on league-leaders Bishop's Stortford Swifts to a point by thrashing Manford Way 5-0.

The win means Lodge have found the back of the net 12 times in just two matches but the game was goalless at the break.

However, a second-half onslaught saw Charlie Georgiou (2), Harry Honesty, Janel Alexander and Eric Palmer all score to seal the points.

Division Two

Snaresbrook crushed beat Lakeside 7-2, meaning they close the gap on table-topping Toby to ten points but they do have four games in hand.

Braces from Jamie Doyle and Daniel Tesfay were added to by Stephen McCormack, Jay Sendal and Mitchell Collymore.

Struggling Roydon suffered another blow in their battle to avoid the drop, losing 5-1 to third-placed Basildon Town.

John Martin-Zamora scored the Roydon goal but they are just above the drop zone. They would have dropped into it had Debden Sports won their game at bottom-placed Ryan.

However, Ryan picked up an important 2-0 win over Debden Sports with goals coming in each half.

Ricky White scored midway through the first half, with Marvin Edwards wrapping up the victory with a goal in the final five minutes.

Ryan may still foot the table but they are now just three points behind tenth-placed Roydon.
