Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League

Premier Division

With league-leaders Greengate not in action, second-placed Warren United cut their lead to nine points with a 5-1 win over Romford Elite.

Despite victory, United still remain at arm's length for Greengate, who have played two games more.

James Peagram scored a hat-trick for Warren, with Jonah Gregory and Daniel Bell also netting for the hosts. Jack Marston scored Romford's consolation effort.

Third-placed Chingford Celtic were also victorious, easing to a routine 3-1 success at Woodbridge.

A brace from Thomas English was added to by a Lee Pearce strike to give Celtic a comfortable three points.

EMWA, currently fourth, also hit five as they crushed Morfdown Elect 5-0.

They have played two games less than Celtic and Greengate above them but are currently 13 points off the pace.

Shane Wallace helped himself to a brace, with Lee Curtis, Reece Morgan and Leon Lewis also getting in on the act.

West Thurrock and Elm Park Eagles played out a 1-1 draw which does little to boost either side's prospects.

Patrick Hinchin scored for Thurrock, with Arran Franks Wiseman the Elm Park marksman.

Division One

Warren United Reserves are very much in the promotion shake-up after they flexed their muscles in an 8-1 triumph at Spring Farm.

The win leaves United fourth in the standings but only two points behind league-leaders Ainslie Wood - who were not in action - with two games in hand.

Second-placed Aldborough Hatch were unable to take full advantage of Ainslie Wood not playing as they lost 2-0 at Repton Park.

Hatch could have gone top with a draw but instead stay level on points having played a game more than the current leaders. Repton Park move into third.

St Augustines enjoyed a useful 3-2 win over CSKA Dynamo but their chances of impacting the promotion battle are dwindling.

A brace from Daryl Dodge was added to by Thomas Neale, with Wilfred Kouassi and Shane Wallace replying for CSKA.

May & Baker Club were 3-1 winners at home to Lonsdale; the two sides remaining seventh and eighth respectively.

David Ryan, David Gerchen and Jamie Boulaylib cancelled out Kalium Fletcher's goal for Lonsdale.

Division Two

Flanders swatted aside Wanstead 5-0 away from home to move up to second.

They do still trail leaders Leyton Green by ten points but have five games in hand to bridge the gap.

Adam Hunt ran in a hat-trick, whilst Matt Hunt was also on target for the visitors.

Division Two Cup

Leyton Green trounced E4 Rangers 6-1 to advance to the next round.

In the competition's only other fixture, Park Tavern were 1-0 winners at Heathside, David Hornsby the match winner.
