Rob Ellis won the March medal at Woodford Golf Club on Saturday.
The nine-handicap golfer just pipped Mark Deeming (handicap six) after a count-back when both players came in with 36 stableford points. Third was 11-handicap Mitchell O’Brien on 34 points.
Michael Jones, playing off 17, prevailed in Division Two with 36 points, two ahead of Michael Cutter (handicap 21), with John Michael Wade (28 handicap) and Neil Robinson (27 handicap) tied for third place on 33 points.
Tom Steed won the seniors’ March Medal at Woodford last week, notching 34 stableford points to beat Bill Tyzack by a point.
Hugh Williams won both the best front nine score with 17 points and the prize for nearest the pin on the ninth.
