Tumaitis first in at Woodford Green half-marathon
Woodford Green with Essex Ladies held their annual Roding Valley half-marathon on Sunday, with more than 600 competitors taking part.
The club’s first finisher was Donatas Tumaitis, recording a time of 1.15.27. Woodford Green’s only female representative was W45 Jenny Thomas, who was 13th in the women’s race, finishing in 1.42.02.
Half-marathon debutant Gareth Dyball, who has previously competed at the top level as a high jumper, clocked 1.56.28 on his first outing.
Elsewhere, Woodford Green member Jess Burgess, representing Essex, finished 18th in the Inter-Counties Cross County Championships in Birmingham on Saturday.
