Prokit UK Essex Olympian League

Premier Division

Wadham Lodge suffered a blow to their title hopes after succumbing to a heavy 4-1 defeat at Frenford Senior.

Now six points off league-leaders Bishop's Stortford Swifts with a game in hand, Lodge could ill-afford to lose against fifth-placed Frenford.

The Lodge consolation was a penalty scored by Charlie Georgiou.

Division One

A late goal did for Ongar Town, who lost 1-0 to Herongate Athletic.

Defeat leaves Ongar with a five-point buffer between themselves and the relegation zone, though the sides below them have all played at least two games less.

Division Two

Snaresbrook did their bit to maintain the pressure on top-of-the-table Toby, cruising to a 5-2 win over basement-dwellers Ryan.

Junior Dentele and Daniel Tesfay both scored twice apiece with Mitchell Collymore the other Snaresbrook scorer. Ryan scored through Max Marshall and Matt Neal.

Snaresbrook remain seven points behind the leaders but do boast a six-point cushion between themselves and third-placed Basildon Town.

Ryan remain five points from safety.

LOASS made a good fist of upsetting the odds against Toby but ultimately came up short, losing 3-2.

Goals from Scott Hill and Tyron Williams were not enough to prevent defeat for the fifth-placed side, who are 11 points outside off the top two.
